Comic Relief in conjunction with Leeds Community Foundation donated £1000 to fund the placement of eleven young people and 4 mentors. This money pays their expenses and allows them to attend 3 days each week for 7 weeks over the summer holidays.
Amongst this group are several 16 -18 year olds who have various career aspirations.

Sophie Wariner - Caring Profession
Daniel Wariner - Undertaker
Each student is required to produce a portfolio detailing their daily tasks and special projects.
For example Jessica and Alex are undertaking a risk assement on the various areas of the garden. It is hoped that the skills learned here will be beneficial in their chosen professions

TUDOR TRUST FUNDING
In 2015 Tudor Trust have provided funding for placements for the next three years
Tom Gallagher was originally a placement but in 2015 funding was obtained to allow the group to provide him with a Deputy Garden Manager's job

The Growing Zone offers placements to young people where they are given the opportunity to learn a range of new skills and responisblities of work environment
